Rema Breaks New Record In India – Becomes First Nigerian Artiste To Achieve This



Promoting African music worldwide, Réma has achieved yet another record in India with his mega-hit “Calm Down”.

Rema sets a new milestone after hit song “Calm Down” sold 60 thousand units in India, which is equivalent to 12 million streams.

The vocalist is now qualified for a Gold certification from the Indian Music Industry, the most prestigious recording company in the nation, as a result.

Just some days ago, “Calm Down” had also peaked on the Indian Charts at number 19, with Rema himself tweeting a screenshot of the charts with the statement, “That sound in the ‘Indian Charts’ ”.

Adding to the Calm Down streak, the video had likewise, made a new record of being the fastest Afrobeats video to hit 200million views.
