A Nigerian woman has called for a mass protest against WAEC after her child failed English, alleging the exam was poorly coordinated and held late into the night.
In a viral X video, she urged mothers to demand accountability, claiming many students failed core subjects like English and Mathematics due to the exam body’s mismanagement.
She said: “Mothers, come out o. It’s like WAEC wants its end. Those that passed aren’t many—most of them failed Maths and English. Is it supposed to be like that? When the kids started their exam by noon and ended it around 11 midnight, is that how it’s done?”
“The WAEC exam of this year is not it. Mothers, come out. Let’s shout at them so they can do something. Where is exam done by midnight? The WAEC exams they did—none of them is good. It’s bad.”
The woman’s outcry in the video has sparked widespread reactions from concerned Nigerians in the comment section.
