A Nigerian gadget vendor has placed a ₦100,000 bounty on the head of a suspected thief who was caught on CCTV allegedly stealing a laptop from his store.
The footage, which has since gone viral on TikTok, was shared by the vendor identified as @engrdom. In the video, the suspect is seen calmly sitting in the shop. While others in the store were distracted, the man discreetly grabbed a laptop placed behind him, tucked it into his shirt, and casually walked out without raising suspicion.
According to the vendor, he only realized the laptop was missing after a thorough review of the CCTV footage. The stolen device is said to be worth several thousands of naira.
In an effort to track the suspect down, the vendor, known as Dom-marc, offered a ₦100,000 reward to anyone who could provide useful information leading to the suspect’s identification or arrest.
In his words: “This same guy just did the same to one of my colleagues at New BANEX shop B41. We need to look out for this guy. I, Dom-marc, still maintain my ₦100k bounty on his head.”
