However, the cost of these services can add up, especially if you’re taking long or frequent trips.
I’ve been using Uber and Bolt for a few years now, and the highest amount of money I’ve ever spent on a single trip was about N3,500. This was for a trip from Waterline to Mile 1 in Port Harcourt Rivers, Nigeria. The trip was about 30 kilometers long, and it took about an hour in traffic.
There have been a few other times when I’ve spent over N2,000 on a single Uber/Bolt trip. These were usually for trips that were long or that took place during peak hours.
Of course, the amount of money you spend on Uber/Bolt will vary depending on a number of factors, including the distance of your trip, the time of day, and the demand for rides in your area.
If you’re looking to save money on Uber/Bolt, there are a few things you can do.
First, try to schedule your trips in advance. This will often give you a lower fare.
Second, consider using a ride-sharing service like Gokada or Max. These services are often cheaper than Uber/Bolt, especially for short trips.
Finally, be aware of the surge pricing. This is when the price of a ride goes up during peak hours or when there is high demand for rides. If you can, try to avoid surge pricing by scheduling your trips in advance or by taking a different route.
