Davido, Olamide, Banky W React To Super Eagles’ Loss To Argentina & World Cup Exit

The sad result of the World Cup match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Argentine national team has sparked reactions from artistes like Olamide, Davidoand Banky W.

The Nigerian national soccer team crashed out of the ongoing World Cup competition after falling to a 2-1 defeat to Argentina. The loss helped the Argentine soccer team to climb above Nigeria on the group table; and it sends them to the next round of the competition, which is the knockout stage.

Since the start of the competition, the Super Eagles received support from Nigerians, particularly artistes who have been celebrating the achievements of the team on their social media platforms. Some of these popular artistes used the same medium to react to the sad loss that brought an end to the World Cup campaign of the Super Eagles.

In his post on Twitter, Davido remained positive despite the loss. He stated the national team had a decent outing by writing, “we played well.”

Banky W also shared the same opinion as OBO. He wrote “Super Eagles forever!!! We played with heart today and that is always something to be proud of. #NGAARG #Lightuptheworldcup“, in his Twitter post.

Olamide, in his own post, urged Nigerians to stop mourning the loss and move on to a more pertinent issue – the ongoing turbulence in the political sphere of the nation. His post had the tone of activism, as he asked questions that borders on the direction of the nation and welfare of the masses.
