Before Getting Married To A Nigerian Woman, Sign A Pre-nuptial Agreement (See Why)

No matter how love take dey shak you. Before saying “I Do” to a Nigerian woman, sign a prenuptial agreements.

What Is Prenuptial Agreement?

Prenuptial agreements (more popularly known as ‘pre-nups’) are agreements entered into by couples before they formally get married which set out how they will financially arrange their affairs during their marriage, and more importantly how their finances will be dealt with in the unfortunate event of a divorce.

Benefits Of Prenuptial Agreement

Protects pre-marital assets. Most prenuptial agreements protect all premarital assets. Assets that are jointly acquired during the marriage are typically shared equally.

Protects the financial stability of your children. Without a prenuptial agreement your spouse may receive assets you intended your children to have.

Reduces future conflict. Signing a prenuptial agreement eliminates the possibility of future conflict in the case of divorce, as it states how issues are to be handled. It can also help to reduce the amount of time that it takes to settle up the divorce.

Assigns debts. Prenuptial agreements can determine how liability for debt will be distributed between the parties to avoid both spouses sharing debt liability.

Makes divorce settlements easier. A prenuptial agreement can help avoid extended court proceedings, which result in the time of expensive divorce attorneys, since the expectations by both partners is clear.

According to report, the 7-year old marriage of Paul Okoye, one half of defunct music duo P Square popularly known as Rude boy and his entrepreneur wife, Anita Okoye has crashed as the latter files a petition for a divorce.

Details surrounding the crash of the marriage came from the leak of the official petition for the divorce which cited “irreconcilable differences” as the basis of the irretrievable break down of the marriage.

Anita Okoye, has demanded for $15,000 (N7.8M) monthly payment from Paul Okoye as spousal support.

If they had signed a prenuptial agreements, stuff like this wouldn’t have happened. 7.8M every month? How much is Paul’s monthly revenue and total networth?

Anita is being mean and unreasonable here. What is her financial contribution to the family? What’s her monthly or annual revenue, that she’s demanding for $15, 000 monthly.

Like I always say, most of Nigerian women of nowadays sees marriage as poverty alleviation scheme. Y’all men better be careful out there.

Sign a prenuptial agreements before saying “I Do” there’s nothing wrong about it
