Why Is Lyta Broke? Is Naira Marley Not Paying His Artists?

The word on the streets is that Lyta is broke, and can’t afford to pay 13k for his kid’s birthday.

This is what was revealed recently when his baby mama outed him on social media and shaded him subliminally. Well that wasn’t really a sub, it was direct.
In the dastardly posts the lady, Kemi Ayorinde, posted on her Instagram, she did her best to demean the “Time” singer, in the worst possible way anyone could.
See some screenshots of what she posted below:

She is currently being dragged on Social media for doing that, and the people are definitely taking Lyta‘s side on this one.

Is Lyta Really Broke?

I think we should be asking the important questions.
Is Lyta broke? If yes, why? Is his record deal with Marlian Music unprofitable for him? Is he not being taken care of by the boss? These are the questions.
First of all, the music industry in Nigeria isn’t all roses, for sure. In fact, Burna Boy still took to the streets of Twitter yesterday to say he doesn’t make any money in Nigeria.
So, the people that make money here must be doing a hell of a job.
But Naira Marley seemed to be well off, like he was really doing well for himself. He is one of those artists whose rise to stardom has been unprecedented.
He has endorsements and has a very high booking fee. He also has some of the best streaming numbers. So it all looked like Naira Marley was definitely getting the bag.

Does Naira Marley Not Have Enough Money?

Okay, let’s assume it’s all a facade, or that Naira Marley doesn’t have that much money? Why then is he signing artists?
This makes you wonder what kind of deal he has with the artists on his so-called label.
This is definitely something that should be looked into, because, so many talents are on his radar and should be rewarded for their work.

What Happens To Lyta’s Career Now?

Also, although Lyta has released a couple singles since he got signed in 2020, it’s starting to look like what happened to him under Olamide at YBNL is starting to happen again.
That, I don’t have to tell you, is not good. Because who’s going to give him a chance if this goes sour?
Be that as it may, any one who cannot take care of his artists shouldn’t have a record label in the first place.
So, what do you think? Let’s from you all.
